For this one time performance I asked friends who are not part of an institution - nonetheless are active participants of the art community - to perform live during the reception of my BFA show. The only direction they received from me was Dustin to perform for the first hour and Caryl to perform for the second hour. Using the act of dressing and undressing from a pile of clothes that was on the floor next to a bare frame. A video camera was recording the act and the audience observed in surprise and at times in silence.
This performance made me think of identity, gender roles, revealing, concealing, exhibitionism, and collaboration.
